About Pilates
Pilates is an exercise program involving proper body alignment, posture, and an emphasis on core strength which engages muscles from the inside out to create a longer, leaner body.

Pilates machines use springs rather than weights to mimic the movement and function of the body's muscles. Fluid movements and coordinated breathing naturally reduce stress and tension, so workouts leave you feeling refreshed, not exhausted. The inner strength you'll gain paired with control over breathing and balance creates a whole new sense of self for our clients.

"Contrology develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit."
- Joseph Pilates, Return to Life, 1945

Molly Lamb has been teaching Pilates since 1999. She is certified by the Physicalmind Institute and has a B.S. in Physiology from the University of Arizona.

A Bay area native, Molly gained her initial passion for movement from dance and interest in rehabilitation through working in physical therapy. This allowed her to develop a keen sense of using exercise to rehabilitate the body from acute injury to minor chronic discomfort.

Molly completed her pre- and post-natal Pilates certification with the Center for Women's Fitness in 2006, and is passionate about giving women the workout tools they need to keep their bodies strong and comfortable during pregnancy and beyond.

Molly enjoys the challenge of creating customized workouts that are safe and effective for all ages and fitness levels. She encourages her clients to explore the balance of strength and awareness that Pilates can bring to everyday life.

Sara fell in love with Pilates in 2006. A competitive athlete since she was a child, Sara participated in swimming, soccer, skiing, running, and water polo. After playing water polo in college she found that she was not happy with how bulky her muscles had became so she set out to find a workout regimen that would help her maintain her strength while creating long lean muscles. She tried many things but it wasn’t until she found Pilates that she started to notice her body dramatically changing. Sara has been hooked ever since. After three years of practice she decided she wanted to share her passion and enthusiasm for Pilates with others.

Sara is certified through Mercury Fitness under Master Trainer Lara Hudson. When she is not teaching Pilates you can find her practicing Pilates, training for triathlons, cooking and eating, reading and spending time with her family and friends. Sara feels that Pilates is like no other exercise in that it will transform your body from the inside out. She believes Pilates is a practice that ensures a healthy body and a happy mind. As Joseph Pilates says, “Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.”

Carly is an Oklahoma native who grew up loving all things sports and fitness from a young age! She was a competitive soccer player, though her true love was riding horses. Carly competed nationally and learned from a young age the importance of finding strength and control in one's own body.

Carly arrived in San Francisco in 2004, where she met her husband and started a family. After spending years focused on career and children, Carly was unhappy with how underdeveloped her muscles had become. She sought a workout program that would help regain her strength while creating beautifully sculpted muscles. Pilates provided the results she wanted, and Carly has been dedicated to Pilates ever since.

Carly is a Balanced Body certified Pilates Instructor and a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. Carly works with individuals of all ages and fitness levels to improve both flexibility and mobility, decrease pain and improve quality of life. She encourages her clients to explore the balance of strength and mobility while developing a mind-body awareness that Pilates can bring to everyday life.

Jaime started running not too long after she took her first steps and has been moving constantly ever since. She played many sports growing up, from ice skating to soccer, and has always taken an interest in health, anatomy, and human movement. She was recruited to the women’s rowing team at UC Berkeley, where she graduated in 2009.

Jaime began taking Pilates in 2010 after illness and injury temporarily took her away from sports. Inspired by the healing she experienced in her own body, she wanted to share the method with others. Under the guidance of Carol LeMaitre and Sharon Gallagher at San Franciso's Sanchez Street Teacher Training Program, Jaime gained a deep understanding of the classical Pilates method and the ability to enhance it for each individual’s goals.

Jaime obtained a personal training certification through NASM in 2013 and enjoys combining it with Pilates to further challenge her clients. Jaime is an engaging teacher with an eagle's eye for movement patterns, challenging you throughout your movement experience and helping you get results quickly.

Jackie is a certified and registered yoga teacher, completing her training in May 2015 in Ubud, Bali.

She has been a student of yoga herself for many years and knew within months of starting her own practice that she wanted to be a teacher (and be able to do a headstand). She took a 7 week leave of absence from her Bay Area biotech company to study in Bali with Linda Mandani, training in both Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. She was fortunate enough to be taught many ancient Balinese healing mudras called Pranala, which help shape her teaching style.

Jackie teaches dynamic vinyasa style flow meant to help students ground through their bodies, taking their awareness out of their minds and into the present moment. Along with dynamic flow, she also incorporates the healing Pranala practice, pranayama and guided meditation. Her goal is to teach yoga, to spread the love, joy and peace that it has brought her and give students the tools to maneuver through the daily grind of life! For more about Jackie:
